Michael Jackson lives again!
June 26, 2009
Michael Jackson died last night, yet this is the first time in years since I’ve heard anything from him or of him. Past his creative and commercial peak, everybody had understandably lost interest in him. He couldn’t even get arrested in his own town, unless some money grubbing bitch accused him of kiddie fiddling.
He made millions, sold million, lost millions and never had a grip on reality; when a professional spoon bender has more common senses than you your in trouble, ok! The sad fact is that the only way that he could have got his career back on track was by dying.
In the past 24 hours, all of his fair weather friends have come out to offer eulogies and lets not forget the inevitable increase in sales and that I’m afraid is as satirical as it going to get here.
Better things to do

Posting has been almost non-existant for the past six weeks and the gaps between posts are going to get longer and longer, which will disappoint my half-a dozen readers. I have in truth become rather dissillusioned with blogging of late, and the lack of activity here reflects that, as I have struggled to be enthused by recent events such as the credit crunch and the BNP winning seats in the european parliament, in truth its probably that BNP are left-wing virus that brought me to this low ebb. It sorts of sums up the level of debate and fuckwittery in the blogosphere for me.
Your first broadband connection, like your first car seems to bring out the worst in you.
I do have another excuse; I am taking my first tentative steps towards self-employment.

Football and swine flu, today.
MEXICO CITY – Chivas defender Hector Reynoso has been suspended from the Copa Libertadores for pretending to cough and spit in an opponent’s face, gestures interpreted as threatening to spread swine flu.
It was not immediately clear the length of the suspension. South America’s football governing body CONMEBOL said Monday that Reynoso had 72 hours to appeal the decision, which was made after watching the incident on video and reading printed accounts.
The H1N1 outbreak is confirmed to have killed more than 20 people in Mexico.
The Mexican coughed several times in the face of Sebastian Penco – an Argentine playing for Chilean club Everton – in a Copa Libertadores match last week. He later apologized, but said he expected to be punished for his behavior.

Dirty bastard.
Over at Pickled politics its lets point at laugh at the anti-Jihadis time, and in truth you would have to be made of stone if you didn’t join in. There is (supposedly)an existential threat to Western civilisation posed by Islamic fundis and their apologists; they intend to destroy us by means of bombs and reproduction.
To face this threat a grand alliance was formed around Charles Johnson of Little Green footballs to face down and defeat the jihadis. Sadly, but inevitablely, its all ended in tears with cries of splitter as both Johnson, his fellow travellers and allies argue over the ideology and tactics of the anti-Jihadi/anti Muslim alliance.
The breaking point for Johnson was when:
In October 2007, some of the leading terrorism-focused conservative bloggers flew to Belgium for a Counterjihad Summit sponsored in part by the Center for Vigilant Freedom (now the International Civil Liberties Alliance), an outgrowth of the LGF-inspired blog Gates of Vienna….
But the summit included members of Vlaams Belang, a controversial Belgian political party that criticizes Islam and Shariah law, and had been attacked within the Netherlands for its connections to extremism and racism. Johnson went to work exposing this, and the attendees reeled from the negative attention.
Or when he realised that some of his friends and allies were assholes…
“Some people at that summit in Belgium were not people we should have been associated with,” Johnson said, pointing out that since 2007 the terrorism-focused conservative bloggers have become supporters of Dutch politician Geert Wilders , who wants to outlaw Islam in his country. “Some of these people outright want to ban Islam from the United States, which I think is crazy, completely nuts. That’s not something we do in this country. These people will outright defend banning the Koran or deporting Muslims. That’s popular with the Geller/Spencer crowd.”
…and he didn’t want to be seen as an asshole by association. Wise move by Johnson you can hardly defend western civilisation by promulugating and promoting values that are the very anti-thesis of what you claim to be defending.
As for Islamophobia, a term I hate, Johnson and his fellow travellers have made a laughable term a toxic one, I prefer anti-Muslim bigotry as that is wahat it is. Islamophobia conflates racism with criticism of the faith, which is unhelpful, anti-Muslim bigotry is akin to anti-semitism the eurabia theory (a prime example of this) is akin to the protocols of the elders of zion.
Johnson has realised that he has been associating with assholes, but the most pertinent point was that he was an inspiration to these assholes (Geller, Spencer) for many years. He has taken a step back, but is still to repudaite his anti-muslim bigotry/hysteria.
The next step for Johnson is to admit that he has been an asshole, but I won’t hold my breath. After all, I’m not a dhimmi.

P.S This is the one and only time I will be writing about muslim issues, so enjoy it as it back to the usual shite nex t time
Out the touts!

Today, I have filled in an application for an FA Cup final ticket, thats right an application, though I may be a season ticket holder and should by rights be entitled to a ticket to watch my beloved Everton, it is shall we say, touch and go whether I get one. Que sara, sara.
The reason for this farcical state of affairs is that both finalists (Everton and Chelsea) have been give an allocation of 25, 000 tickets, a total that is woefully inadequate for their needs. Both clubs have 20,00o+ season ticket holders and some of them will not get tickets even though Wembley has a capacity of 90000. The remaining 40,000 tickets are divided between Club Wembley members (13,000) and the football family.
The footballing family an interesting euphemism, they also have more tickets than either of the finalists, who gets the remaining 27,000?
The football family comprises the 92 Premier League and Football League clubs, the 134 Full Member clubs, other clubs who reached the Third Round of this season’s competition, charities, FA sponsors, the Football Foundation, Premier League, Football League, Football Conference, PFA, International Associations, FIFA, UEFA and County Football Associations. (Source)
I have another name for the football family: touts. Come matchday a large proportion of these tickets will be sold for a multiple of their face value to supporters desperate to watch their team.
Th FA is in not in favour of touting, but its ticketing policy leaves supporters of the finalists no choice, but to buy touted tickets. This has gone on for far too long, the tickets should go to the supporters of the finalists, not its “footballing family”. Its time for the FA to decide whose important the fans or its “footballing family” of touts.

For the benefit of those defending the Metropolitan police over the death of Ian Tomlinson, after video evidence revealed that he was the victim of an unprovoked assault by a police officer
Your boss is not your friend, he doesn’t give a fuck about you, his only concern is his place of work be he capitalist or bureaucrat.
Its not necessarily a left/right thing. It’s between the Pavlovian right and everyone else.
That believes that because the police do a difficult job in difficult circumstances they can do no wrong.
That believe the left are to blame for everything.
That Believes the police had good reason to assault Ian Tomlinson; they just can’t agree upon the exact reason.
In short these fuckers reach a conclusion, select the facts that fit their conclusion; and ignore any uncomfortable truths that contradict it.
So once more:
Your boss is not your friend, he doesn’t give a fuck about you, his only concern is for his place of work be he capitalist or bureaucrat.
And he would fuck you over in a heartbeat.
Fascists use anti-fascism to promote fascism

THE Manic Street Preachers have blocked the BNP from using one of their hit songs on its website.
The band from Blackwood were quick to react when their 1998 number one single If You Tolerate This Your Children Will be Next popped up on the far-right political party’s site.
Their record company, Sony, immediately issued cease and desist orders and the video was quickly pulled from the website and You Tube.
The song was used as the soundtrack to a video entitled “The Cesspit Called London” which, according to the BNP, reveals the “violence, hatred, fragmentation and despair” in London caused by the “great multicultural experiment”.
Ironically, the song’s lyrics are a direct reference to the International Brigade, a group of largely left-wing volunteers – including Welsh farmers and miners – who went to Spain during the country’s civil war to fight Franco’s fascists.
But the irony was lost on BNP spokesman Simon Darby, who said: “You can interpret the lyrics any way you want.”
Can’t give an answer to that one, can you?
Blogging: A health warning

It takes a special talent to come across as a bigger dick than Paul Staines aka Guido Fawkes in a televised debate, but by jove Derek Draper managed it with some style.
In a debate with no winners, the blogosphere (or the quality bloggers who are yet to make their televised debuts) is the biggest loser. To the non-bloggers watching it appeared to be a child fight, perhaps Harry Hill should book the pair of them for TV burp.
Sadly this is rather typical of the blogosphere, a pair of dickheads shouting at each other. Intelligent debate and thought-provoking, witty articles are at a premium. Sadly.
May also cause you to stop looking after yourself. Symptons include: Obesity, BO and social isolation as you live your life through a PC.

You lose your job. You can’t find another. You can’t pay the bills. What are you going to do?
How about write a self-pitying, whiny article damning immigrants and the unemployed for not paying their bills, and claiming victimisation after not paying your bills. Oh, and don’t forget to claim that your were hard done to after they (the court) charged you the summons fee that you hoped to avoid, after stating that your too proud to claim benefits and get a proper job.
Hartman you have options because you are a) white and b) middle class. Nobody is out to get you, its all in your head.
That is why you are an unemployed actor: give it up, get a proper job and stop whining. As an aside how much did the mail pay you?

Jade Goody: A Tribute (of Sorts)
March 22, 2009
I wish people would make their minds up about Jade Goody; They hate her one minute and love her the next. Now that she is dead, dead, dead she is now the Essex princess, its all a little bit Diana.
I never had much time for Princess Di and when she died and, I ‘m ashamed to admit this but I was was glad, as I believed that would be the last I would hear and read about her (oh, how wrong was I), I was also a virulent republican at the time which played a part in forming that utterly hateful feeling. Strangely the media mourning festival/ grief bullying forced me to feel sympathy for our dear Queen. No-one should face criticism for putting on a brave face.Upon reflection years later, I realised that I didn’t hate her; I hated her omnipresence in the media.
I may despise the big brother reality TV show that brought her fame and is now becoming a freak show with each passing year, but Jade is not someone I hate. If anything Jade has been a victim of the bullying such a format encourages in its participants be they part of the show or the viewing and voting audience, even if he has brought her riches and a lifestyle that would have previously been out of her reach.
She was Good(y) copy, Ok even killed her off prematurely because she was good for the bottom line. This was her greatest achievement; making herself rich just by being herself the very essence of a media star. I don’t understand what made her so appealing to the public and I will probably never understand, but there will be those such as Hannah who felt that they had a connection with her. This I will not mock as there will be many today who will be distraught upon hearing of her death, as was the case when Diana and Lennon died. I only ask that the media does not ask us all to join in with the mourning.
If there is anything to admire about Goody it is that she had no discernible talent, but died a millionaire. That I can applaud.
